What custom projects do you offer?
If it can be celebrated (or mailed), we're probably designing it! We create custom invitations, save the dates, wedding suites, stationery, day-of paper goods, logos, & party goods! Whether you're planning a wedding, hosting a party, launching a brand, or celebrating life's little moments, we can create anything from scratch, just for you!
what does pricing look like?
Every project at Hill Press Co. is custom, so pricing varies based on your unique vision. Factors like the type of project, quantity, number of pieces or inserts, specialty finishes (such as die-cut designs), and whether you need expedited production all play a role in your final quote. Once we learn more about your project, we can provide a personalized quote with clear estimates.
when should I contact HP to start a custom order?
The sooner, the better! Every custom project at Hill Press Co. is uniquely YOU, so we want to ensure we have plenty of time to dream, design, and perfect every last detail.
As a general timeline, we recommend:
- Wedding suites & save the dates: Reach out 10 months to a year before your big day.
- Party invitations: At least 4 months before your event.
- Custom stationery: At least 2 months before your desired "need-by" date.
- Day-of party goods (menus, signage, cups, napkins, programs, and more): Reach out at least 3–4 months in advance.
Need something on a tighter timeline? Don't hesitate to ask! If our schedule allows, we'll always do our best to make the magic happen.
Are there any limits to what we can create?
Short answer? We sure hope not.
One of my absolute favorite parts of this job is pushing the boundaries of what's possible with paper. I love taking ideas that seem impossible, unexpected, or completely out of the box and figuring out how to bring them to life.
So if you've dreamed up something you've never seen before—or you're not even sure it's possible—please ask! Bring me the wild ideas & the "insane" concepts, because more often than not, those are the projects that become the most memorable. Around here, creativity doesn't have a ceiling, and I'm always up for the challenge!
What does the Design process look like?
Our process is pretty much the same across the board, no matter what we're creating! Depending on the project, a 25% or 50% deposit may be required to reserve your spot and kick things off. Once your deposit is received and your Design Disclosure Agreement is signed, the fun begins.
From there, we'll dive into the creative process using all the details, inspiration, and ideas you share with us. The more information you can provide upfront, the better—we want to capture your vision as quickly and accurately as possible.
Every custom project includes five rounds of proofs, giving us plenty of opportunities to fine-tune every detail until it's just right. Additional proofing rounds beyond the included five are available for $50 per proof.
Once your design is polished to perfection, we'll send it off to the press (or manufacturer) to bring it to life. Then all that's left is for you to celebrate with something beautifully made just for you!
